Brian K Navarro, NP

Angelo B. Biviano, MD, MPH, is a cardiac electrophysiologist whose area of expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex heart rhythm irregularities. He has clinical and research interests in catheter and device based managements of arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, as well as the use of implantable pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Biviano is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Biviano completed undergraduate studies at Princeton University with summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He received his MD and Masters in Public Health (in Health Care Management) degrees from Harvard University in 1997. He completed residency, chief residency, and fellowship training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Biviano has experience with patient care, teaching, and cardiovascular research. He has been named "Best Doctor" in US News and World Report, "Top Doctor" in New York Magazine, "Teacher of the Year" in the Division of Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center, and is a recipient of a National Institute of Health research grant in the area of atrial fibrillation ablation. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Biviano is a full time faculty member at ColumbiaDoctors since 2006. Dr. Barbara Pro is a clinician, researcher and professor of medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. As clinical director of the lymphoma program at the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, Dr. Pro leads a multi-disciplinary team of lymphoma experts dedicated to translating discoveries in the lab into new and better treatments for patients. Dr. Pro’s research and clinical practice focuses on T-cell lymphoma, a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Widely recognized for her expertise in drug development for Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, Dr. Pro leads multi-center clinical trials evaluating new targeted therapies for patients with aggressive lymphoma subtypes, which have led to FDA approvals of novel agents. A distinguished scholar, Dr. Pro has published more than 150 peer-reviewed research articles in highly respected journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Blood, and Lancet. Prior to joining the faculty of Columbia, Dr. Pro served as the clinical director of the lymphoma program and director of the hematology and oncology fellowship program at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. She has received numerous awards and is a member of several organizations, including the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Cancer Research. She serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Lymphoma Research Foundation and Scientific Committee of the Society of Hematology Oncology. Dr. Pro received her medical degree from the University or Rome in Italy, and completed her residency at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She pursued her fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she began her lymphoma research under Dr. Fernando Cabanillas.

Kumar Kalapatapu, MD, is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with over 20 years of experience, based in Hawthorne, New York. He is affiliated with several leading institutions, including NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital–Columbia and Cornell, NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, and Garnet Health Medical Center–Middletown.Dr. Kalapatapu earned his medical degree from Guntur Medical College, NTR University of Health Sciences. He is board certified by both the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease and the American Board of Interventional Cardiology.He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions such as heart attacks, angina, and acute coronary syndromes. Dr. Kalapatapu performs interventional procedures at the NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester location.
