Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board is a governor-appointed body. Based in Olympia, Wash., the department is a partnership of labor, business and government to helping Washington state residents obtain and succeed in family-wage jobs, while meeting employers' needs for skilled workers. It also oversees a workforce development system which includes 18 education and training programs. Additionally, the board provides financial aid and other services to low-income students as well as opportunity partnership program projects.
