A new community center dedicated to sharing American Indian culture with the entire community, the Dorothy Ramon Learning Center is named for Dorothy Ramon, one of the last of the first language Serrano speakers. The center is a vision of Ernest and June Siva of Banning and combines classrooms, exhibits, workshops and a new performing space/auditorium — an ambitious project guided by two of the keenest minds in the Pass Area. The center's Dragonfly lecture series is top-notch and Serrano language classes are offered.
