Marcus Whitman Middle School

Established in 1979, Marcus Whitman Junior High School enrolls students in grades seven through nine and offers a variety of educational programs. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as mathematics, social studies, science, English, music, career and technical education and foreign languages. The school has a parent advisory council that organizes several programs, including family fun nights and multicultural fairs. It also offers a range of athletic activities, such as swimming, football, baseball, basketball, cross country and wrestling. Additionally, the school offers various special programs that include Title I, learning assistance, gifted education, English as a Second Language and Indian education. It is a part of the South Kitsap School District and is located in Port Orchard, Wash.
