Karshner Museum and Center for Culture & Arts, 309 4th St NE, Puyallup, WA 98372, US

The Karshner Memorial Museum is nestled in a very clean and quiet neighborhood of historic downtown Puyallu. It was founded by Dr. and Mrs. Warner M. Karshner in memory of their son, who died in 1924 of polio. The museum is an honorary gift to the Puyallup School District and is a teaching museum with a collection of more than 10,000 items for viewing by students in the district and other areas in Pudget Sound. At the museum, you can touch a real elephant's foot, look inside a full-scale Plains Indian tepee and view an assortment of other fun exhibits. You'll want to wander through Fort Karshner to see the well-stocked trading post, old-time photography studio and covered wagon filled with supplies for a westward journey.
