I enjoy collaborating with my patients to provide them with the best possible psychiatric care. I have a special interest in providing psychiatric care to young adults. I try to get a sense of the big picture for patients as what is going on in their lives can affect their physical and mental health in many ways.

The trust relationship between a provider and a patient is really important to me. Seeing that relationship through as the years progress, is an aspect of medicine I can achieve as an internist. I find my daily encounters with my patients rewarding. I want my patients to feel empowered about their health.

I have wanted to be a doctor since she was about seven years old. I feel medicine is both an art and a science and that it is dynamic, challenging and requires a commitment to lifelong learning. Dr. Shih treats a broad range of dermatologic conditions. She is especially interested in complex medical dermatology, particularly oncologic and rheumatologic skin conditions.
