We had a fun trip from Tukwila WA to Portland OR and back the opposite way the next day. Great seats and a smooth ride, lovely scenery and I didn't have to drive! Train crew were great.

When they are not 2 hours late every other trip, or when they mess up maintenance on the trains and send everyone on a buss that take 3 hours longer for my commute then I will say it's pretty nice...

Taking the train from Portland OR to Chicago IL. No water for 1 1/2 days, observation car closed due to no heat. Why take the train?
