The State Department Federal Credit Union serves employees of the State Department worldwide. It also serves the National Credit Union Administration employees. The cooperation, located in Alexandria, Va., has more than 60,000 members. Its services include budget counseling, calculators, foreign currency exchange, member emeritus and notary services. It also provides identity theft solutions and offers wire transfers, safe deposit boxes and quest travel services to its members. The State Department Federal Credit Union provides information and advice on money management planning, financial counseling, saving and spending plans, budgeting and debt management services through partnership with the BALANCE, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco.
