Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission provides social and technical services. The commission is located in Victoria, Texas, and is a regional voluntary association of local governments and other agencies. It provides planning for the development of the region and assisting local governments in carrying out regional plans and recommendations. The planning commission provides comprehensive planning and service delivery in a variety of program areas, such as economic development, solid waste management and rural transportation. It is funded through federal funds from the states and local funding is composed of dues paid by member governments. Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission s members include counties, cities, school districts and other nonprofit groups.
