Austin Area Research Organization ( AARO ) is a non-profit organization comprised of 90 business and community leaders from the Central Texas region of Caldwell, Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. The AARO membership reflects the diverse base of the Austin region with representation from industry, real estate, finance, professional firms, the arts, and educational, religious, and charitable institutions. AARO works to facilitate the economic and social well-being of Central Texas by researching and addressing public policy issues in 8 priority areas: Education, Energy, Health Care, Higher Education, Leadership, Social Equity, Transportation, and Water.

The Senate Hispanic Research Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Austin, TX, committed to empowering the next generation of young leaders in Texas. Through their Senator Gregory Luna Legislative Scholars and Fellows Program, participants gain valuable experience as full-time legislative aides in the Texas Senate during the 88th Texas Legislative Session. Named after the late Texas Senator Gregory Luna, who dedicated his career to advocating for the less fortunate citizens of Texas, this unique fellowship program provides scholars and fellows with a monthly stipend to support their work and living expenses, while offering them exposure to the inner workings of the Texas Senate and the opportunity to dissolve barriers for the state's marginalized communities.Generated from the website
