Papa Doble was built out of a home originally built in 1919. The entire design and build-out was completed by the owners during the pandemic shut down in 2020. The bar pays tribute to Ernest Hemingway's legacy and brilliant work. Hemingway was affectionately know as “Papa” in Cuba where the Papa Doble, a drink named after him, was born. The bar Papa Doble, named after this delicious double daiquiri, has brought a completely new feel to the central bar district in El Paso, Texas with its signature cocktails, broad selection of cigars, amazing patio, and live jazz music.

This place was what I've been looking for. Coming from Dallas where I could go to a jazz club and enjoy my man, a drink and amazing music, this was liking finding a treasure!

This place has a nice patio where drinks can be enjoyed. I had a featured cocktail with honey that was very good. The place is always clean and I enjoy the jazz days.
