Abbas, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure, and transplantation specialist.Abbas focuses on providing personalized and compassionate care for his patients. His practice philosophy emphasizes spending time with his patients, listening to them, and educating them about their condition. As part of his collaborative approach to care, he believes involving patients and their loved ones is the key to improving outcomes for cardiovascular health.Abbas is an assistant professor in the Department of Advanced Cardiopulmonary Therapies and Transplantation at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. His clinical interests include cardiomyopathy, heart failure, heart transplantation, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) therapy, and pulmonary hypertension.Married and the father of two children, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, relaxing by the water, and perfecting his BBQ skills.
