HistoryFounded in 1978, Mi Escuelita Preschool began with one center teaching children English during the summer. In 1981 the program expanded to the school year and in 1990 Mi Escuelita grew to two sites. In the 2017-2018 school year, Mi Escuelita operated five campuses and served more than 550 students. In the 2018-2019 school year, thanks to our growing partnership with Uplift Education, Mi Escuelita plans to operate ten campuses with Head Start, charter partnership and private classrooms and serve more than 800 children. Children range in age from 2 1/2 to 5 years of ageSpecialtiesMi Escuelita Preschool provides a safe, secure and nurturing environment where non-English speaking children of preschool age are taught the English language and early learning skills necessary to have a successful experience in both school and life. Each year, Mi Escuelita students make notable improvements in academic and developmental areas. In the 2017-2018 school year, more than 83 percent of children transitioning into kindergarten qualified to enter directly into English speaking classrooms. T
