Metroplex Pediatrics

Dr. Ashley Mekala is a General Surgeon who earned his Medical Degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed his surgical training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, where he served as Chief Resident. After completing his training, Dr. Mekala decided to return home, to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He joined North Texas Surgical Specialists and currently practices general surgery, acute care surgery & minimally invasive robotic surgery. Dr. Mekala is a born and raised Texan, is excited to be back “home” in DFW, and looks forward to serving his community.

Dr. Besem Beteck is a board-certified vascular surgeon serving the Fort Worth area. He manages and performs procedures with a focus on dialysis access in end-stage renal disease, limb salvage, and peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease, venous disease including deep vein thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency, peripheral and aortic aneurysms. Dr. Beteck earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed a General Surgery residency at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and a Vascular Surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
