The City Manager s office oversees other departments and gives informed advices to council. It is a part of City Hall, which provides professional management and administration, maintains official records and supports and coordinates programs. The hall is owned and operated by the City of Belton in Texas. The City of Belton maintains a development services department that is responsible for planning, building permitting and inspections and code enforcement. It also operates fire, human resources, public works, utility billing and police departments. The city also has a parks and recreation department that provides clean and safe outdoor recreation space and park lands to citizens.
