Dr. Koster was born in Austin, Texas and is a graduate of Baylor University (class of 2008). He obtained his medical degree at A.T. Still University - School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona; completing the majority of his clinical rotations in Oahu, Hawaii. Dr. Koster completed his residency in Family Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. During and immediately following completion of his residency, Dr. Koster worked full-time in the Emergency Room: first in Louisiana, then in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2019 he began the process of relocating back home to central Texas and signed with Ascension-Providence later that year. Dr. Koster maintains an active board certification in Family Medicine, with special interests in Sports Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), Texas Medical Association (TMA), McLennan County Medical Society (MCMS), and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Dr. Koster currently resides in Waco, TX with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, movies, music, traveling, being outdoors (sports, hiking, etc.), and exploring different cultures, foods, and drinks.
