History
Starting off my art career in 1971, I spent a year in drafting school at what was then Durham's Business College in Austin, Texas. And I spent a few years as a draftsman at CF&I Steel in Denver, Colorado. When someone there asked what I intended to do with my career, I went to Metropolitan State College (now University) in Denver, graduating with a Fine Arts Degree. Thinking nobody makes a living from fine art, I signed up at Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. After graduating with honors, I worked in advertising design in Denver and LA for 4 years until, tired of the commercial art business, I decided to try my hand as a professional artist. Starting in 1992, I've been represented by some of the most professional and prestigious galleries in the U.S., including those that represent me now: Mountain Trails Galleries in Park City, Utah and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, by Sorrel Sky Galleries in Durango, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Davis & Blevins Gallery in Saint Jo, Texas.
