Gorge Hiking Trails - self - guided walking trail open for all ages, scenic hike along the north rim of the Gorge or take a stroll through the Nature Trail. Available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with last entry at 6:30, Tuesday through Sunday. $5 per person, under 12 free & open for all ages. Take a guided educational tour ages 7 & up only, 3 hour $20pp or 90 minute $15pp. Explore the gorge that was eroded 40 feet below the pre-flood terrain by the 2002 flood event, when flood waters went over the Canyon Lake Spillway for the first time in its history. This tragic event of nature "unearthed" a true Hill Country treasure which you can now experience firsthand with a trained guide. Take the 3-hour or 90 minute tour, you will walk along an exposed fault zone, identify fossils, explore the Early Cretaceous limestone formations that were deposited over 110 million years ago,
