a tempo Voice Center provides skilled voice, swallowing and speech therapy for a variety of problems and issues. We treat muscle tension dysphonia, vocal nodules, cysts and polyps, vocal hemorrhage and scarring, vocal cord dysfunction (VCD), Parkinson's Disease (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment or LSVT), Transgender voice therapy, vocal cord paralysis, spasmodic dysphonia, dysphagia, vocal fatigue, accent reduction and more. Kristie Knickerbocker, founder and owner of a tempo Voice Center, was a voice therapy recipient prior to voice surgery to remove a vocal fold cyst. She is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and singing voice specialist with special training in the area of voice and voice disorders. She is a classically trained mezzo-soprano and is currently a member in good standing of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Texas Speech Language and Hearing Association (TSHA). She also belongs to Asha's Special Interest Group-3 for Voice.
