Bristol Anesthesia ServicesBristol Anesthesia Services, P.C. ( BAS ) was established in September 1980, as a Tennessee Medical Corporation. We have eleven anesthesiologists, all board certified or in the certification process, and one boarded anesthesiologist who provides pain management services at our pain clinic. Our corporation has long-term exclusive anesthesia agreements to provide services at Bristol Regional Medical Center. In addition, the group provides anesthesia services to Bristol Surgery Center, a modern independently managed ambulatory surgery center with four operating rooms, the Renaissance Surgery Center, a small surgery center that is a joint venture between Bristol Regional Medical Center and our Neurosurgeons, Sapling Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center, and the Mountain Empire Cataract & Eye Surgery Center.Our practice combines physician administered anesthesia with anesthesia care team services utilizing hospital employed CRNAs. In November of 1985, BAS opened the Southeastern Pain Management Center ( SPMC ) located at the Timber Ridge Medical Building, 3183 West State Street, Suite 1101. SPMC is a multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment facility for pain. Upon a physician's evaluation of an individual's pain related problem, a treatment modality is determined and implemented. SPMC is designed to deal with a variety of acute and chronic pain using traditional and non-traditional treatment. In August of 1999, Southeastern Pain Management Center, Limited Liability Company ( LLC ) was formed to establish a separate entity devoted to the pain management medical practice.
