RSVP is a charitable organization, part of East Bay Community Action Program. A volunteer program for people of 55 years and older, RSVP gives volunteers the opportunity to work with children, at elder homes, and at other charities all across Aquidneck Island. Registered RSVP volunteers are offered a wide variety of roles, and are given free supplemental accident insurance as a result of a grant by government. There is no charge to register.
Volunteers who work 50 hours or more are invited to a nice recognition awards dinner, which averages over 300 volunteers each year. RSVP is a wonderful way for people to use their life experiences to help other people. Whether its work at the Red Cross or as a mentor at a school, there are a wide variety of activities. You can volunteer anywhere from once a week to once a year for special events. RSVP is a charitable organization that has something for everyone.
