History
The Children's Museum is a 501(c)3 non-profit run by a dedicated staff and overseen by a board of directors, assisted largely by the support of volunteers. Open year-round to all, the museum primarily draws visitors from the ten surrounding counties. We have sponsored an Art and Science Center since 1996 to serve the region, and have resided at our permanent physical location in Bloomsburg since 2002. We have also developed traveling hands-on museum exhibits that serve 17 school districts in the 5-county Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit area.
Specialties
The mission of The Children's Museum is to enrich the lives of people in the region by fostering a lifelong love of learning through enjoyable interactive programs and exhibits that bring out the imagination of every child and the child in every visitor.
