Portland YouthBuilders is a non-profit organization committed to providing long term support for low income youth. Each year, we provide education, vocational training, and leadership development services for over 200 young people between the ages of 17 and 24 who have not completed high school and who face significant barriers to success. PYB is proud to be part of a network of over 250 YouthBuild programs nationwide.
Specialties
PYB is a non-profit vocational training program. We specialize in helping our students obtain High School completion, gain valuable work skills and experience, and support our students as they take their next steps in life whether it be gaining employment and/or continuing education. Our students focus their energies toward High School completion and either learning Construction or Computer Technologies aka YouthMedia while in the program. Students gain hands-on work experience, job readiness training and practice, being able to participate in our internship programs and giving back through the community through PYB community service projects.
