History
Original to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, New York City Sub shop opened it's doors in 1985 and remains as favorite lunch spot there today. In 1989 New York City Sub Shop opened it's second location in Hood River, Oregon. Sandwiched between Dill Sailboards and Northwave Sails, co-owner Andrew Deenik served the growing Hood River community, satisfying burgeoning windsurfers and orchardists alike. With a captivated and loyal following, the sub shop remains a staple for delicious subs sandwiches throughout the Columbia Gorge. Twenty five years later, in 2014, Chris Emerson along with wife Kelly bought the Hood River Sub Shop location. Chris, the long standing manager for over ten years, earned the rank of proud owner of the first New York City Sub Shop franchise. With easy access, indoor and outdoor seating, and a private parking lot, this is still the local's preferred luncheon hotspot. We welcome you to relax, place your order, and enjoy a delicious, fresh baked sub sandwich. Dine-In or Ta
