The Washington County Assessment & Taxation Department is located in Hillsboro, Ore. It maintains an appraisals and appeals division that provides services in the preparation of ratio studies, explanation and review of appraisals, appeals of real property values, and appraisal of manufactured structures and real and personal properties. In addition, it offers several cyclical appraisal programs and tax accounting services. The department s tax collection and payments division provides services in the collection of property taxes and warrants, special assessments, and preparation and issuance of refunds and foreclosure proceedings. The Washington County Assessment & Taxation Department also has an elections division that maintains voter registration records, verifies petitions, and establishes and maintains precincts and voter boards.
