A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village, founded in 1989, is a private nonprofit children's museum located in downtown Salem in Riverfront Park, Ore. The museum provides innovative and stimulating educational experiences to children through fun and challenging exhibits, summer camps, birthday parties, membership opportunities and outreach programs in the sciences, arts and humanities. The village's mission is to provoke curiosity, inspire awe, foster enjoyment, encourage learning and enable understanding in youth. The museum s exhibits are housed in various Victorian homes, including Gilbert House, Parrish House, Rockenfield House, the Little Gem Grocery and Wilson-Durbin House. The village has partnerships with various organizations, including the Association of Science Technology Centers, Association of Children's Museums, Salem Downtown Association, and Mission Mill Museum.

Inaccurate hours posted on the website. The website says it is open on Mondays and we drove an hour to visit to find them closed.
