HistoryI am a marriage and family therapist with a Master's in Counseling in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and a Master's in Theater from Indiana University. I am a clinical certified trauma professional, am trained in body or somatic approaches, mindfulness, and EMDR. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am also a certified Reiki practitioner.SpecialtiesLife can be full of a variety of experiences that can bring growth and change. We are full of potential. I aspire to work with adults interested in becoming their authentic self. The experiences we have in life effect our sense of who we are, and in turn effect how we engage with the world. Understanding our values and beliefs can assist us in better understanding who we are. We all desire to express ourselves in a manner that feels authentic to who we are in our heart, and to then be accepted for being ourselves. I work with you to help you understand the aspects of yourself you present or hide from the world, so that you can determine what aspects are most authentic, and how to be your best self. I incorporate holistic and creative interventions proven to be effective. Including art, collecting items in nature, collage, movement, meditation, writing, music, imagery cards, and sandplay. Applied in your every day life, this results in you feeling more relaxed, having a sense of choice and an enhanced sense of peace, connection and well-being.
