Pearson, known once as Clyde Pearson Company, was founded in 1942 and has been in continuous operation ever since, producing upholstered furniture for consumers nationwide. The Pearson collection consists of more than 500 styles, ranging from traditional to contemporary, dressy to casual, and is created by its own design staff. Because all Pearson furniture is made to the customer's order, customers may also choose a number of custom options, which will help individualize their purchase. Its selections include more than 1,000 fabrics and leathers. Pearson is a division of Thomasville Furniture Industries, which is a subsidiary of Furniture Brands International. Furniture Brands International is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol FBN. Pearson employs more than 200 people and is located in High Point, N.C.
