Originally from Michigan, Dr. Sarav Patel was inspired to pursue oral and maxillofacial surgery because of its unique integration of dentistry and medicine. He finds tremendous reward in being able to make meaningful changes in his patients' lives, often in as little as a day. Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach, where he attended on a full-tuition President's Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude in just 3 years. He stayed in California for another 4 years at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received both the Regent's and Dean's Scholarships-the highest academic honors in the University of California system.
