Inspired by her tenth grade biology teacher, Dr. Naumann knew she wanted to pursue medicine as a career at the age of 15. Dr. Naumann graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University and during her time in medical school she was named vice president of her sophomore class, vice president of student council and was a member of Iron Arrow Honor Society. Dr. Naumann's primary focus has always been on the patient first. She believes that what is going on in her patient's life is just as important as the medical approach. Dr. Naumann has been a resident of the Charlotte area for more than twenty years and is the mother of two children. Dr. Kimberly Hopkins joined Novant Health's medical staff in 2013. During her residency in 2012 she did a research project on how robotics is changing resident education and received the A.W. Diddle Award from the University of Tennessee for her outstanding research. In 2013 she received an award for excellence in pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Married to Marquis Hopkins, she has three children including a set of twins. She saw the importance of the doctor-patient relationship during her own pregnancy as well as the variety of seeing patients in the office as well as surgery. Dr. Hopkins also enjoys running, watching college football and spending time with her kids.
