The Little Saints' Pre-School program is affiliated with St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, but it is open to all youngsters, regardless of their religion. The school has half-day programs for 2-year olds that run for two hours each day, and programs for 3- and 4-year-olds that run for two-and-a-half hours either in the morning or afternoon.
Students who are 2 years old attend the school twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. The 3-year-olds meet twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and have the option of also coming Wednesdays. The 4-year-old students attend school Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with optional sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The school does not teach the Lutheran doctrine, but does incorporate some basic Christian beliefs about the love of God and caring for one another. The class sessions also include prayer at snack time and chapel time, as well as arts and crafts, music, indoor and outdoor playtime and lessons in science, social studies, colors, shapes, letters, numbers and language arts. The school focuses on developing language and motor skills and a healthy self-image. It also teaches students how to pray, practice a Christian way of life, listen and share with others. Additionally, the school runs a five-week summer camp from late June to late July for children ages 3 through 5 years old.
