Food has improved a great deal but the service is always great as usual. I go there mainly for their pastries and coffee service sometimes I will get there food but almost always the specials.

SERVICE - located very close to Washington square park and NYU campus area - plenty of indoor seating at bar or dining area with tables for groups of 2-4 people - servers are friendly and helpful...

I like running into Spring Street Aspen for coffee and pastries . Coffee is usually good. My favorite pastries are the banana walnut bread and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Love the energy balls....
