Seneca Federal Savings & Loan Association began as the Baldwinsville Savings and Loan Association in March of 1928. By the end of the first year of business, total assets were approximately $5,840. The company changed its name to Seneca Federal Association in 1958. The company was one of the first thrifts to be approved for and offer nontraditional products and services to its members with the formation of the subsidiary, Savmor Service Corporation, in 1982. Products and services provided to customers include checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, a variety of certificates of deposit, mortgage loans, consumer loans and a number of financial services. Seneca Federal Savings & Loan Association maintains locations in Baldwinsville, Liverpool, and North Syracuse, N.Y.
