Scarpetta is LDV Hospitality's signature restaurant located in the NoMad district in NYC. The Italian expression, "fare la scarpetta," describes the gesture of taking the little boot-shaped piece of bread to soak up the remaining sauce left in the pot of one's home kitchen. The restaurant's name is derived from this familial gesture and represents the indulgent pleasure of savoring a meal down to its very last taste. In 2008, Scarpetta received a James Beard nomination for 'Best New Restaurant in America' as well as a coveted three-star review from the New York Times.

Reservations are a must if you do not want to sit at the bar however, the bar and the bartenders are top notch! Food is excellent.
