The Assessor's Office appraises and determines the value of all property within the Town of Rye. The town's assessor is Mitchell Markowitz, who works in conjunction with a six person staff, including a property appraiser and two assessment clerks.
The office assesses parcels within Mamaroneck, Rye Neck, Port Chester and Rye Brook. It also assesses property within the school districts of each of these villages. The estimated full market value of the town, according to the Assessor's Office, is more than $8.8 million.
