Dr. Subramanyam was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. After graduating in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology at Yale University, she attended New York University School of Medicine. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where she graduated with a degree in Medical Education. After residency, she completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and National Lipid Association. She has published in the International Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, as well as presented at several national cardiology conferences.

Dr. Roniel Weinberg is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology. He offers expertise in providing a wide range of treatment modalities, including non-invasive laser therapy and the newest interventional techniques. He places a unique focus on the use of non-narcotic techniques and medications when appropriate and possible. He has recently started to integrate ultrasound guided techniques towards the treatment of chronic pain.Dr. Weinberg works towards developing a comprehensive plan for the treatment of his patients' pain via collaboration with the Weill Cornell Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Psychiatry and Rehabilitative Medicine, as well as the patient's primary care physician.Prior to joining the faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2008, Dr. Weinberg completed the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Tri-Institute Pain Fellowship Program: Weill Cornell Medical College, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial-Sloan Kettering. He finished his residency in anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical College in 2007 and received his Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2002.

Sarah H. Van Tassel, M.D. is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and Director of the Glaucoma Service and Glaucoma Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine Ophthalmology. Dr. Van Tassel specializes in glaucoma evaluation and treatment, including medical management, laser, and surgical procedures. She also performs cataract surgery and is up-to-date on the latest advances in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).A native of Missouri, Dr. Van Tassel graduated summa cum laude from Duke University. She attended Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology. Dr. Van Tassel then returned to Duke for a fellowship in glaucoma where she received specialized training in trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage device implantation, laser trabeculoplasty and iridotomy, complex cataract extraction, laser-assisted cataract extraction, implantation of astigmatic (toric) and multi-focal intraocular lenses, and microinvasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).Dr. Van Tassel’s research focuses on the latest advances in ocular imaging and their applications to personalized diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences, and she has received several academic awards including the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship.Dr. Van Tassel is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, Women in Ophthalmology, and additional societies. She is a founding member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Resident Self-Assessment Committee, through which she develops educational materials for ophthalmologists-in-training.She is committed to providing personalized glaucoma and cataract care supplemented by the newest technologies, instruments, and techniques.
