Welcome to Pete’s Tavern, New York City’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and bar, located at the corner of 18th Street and Irving Place in the Gramercy Park Historic District. Pete’s Tavern was famous for serving as the preferred watering hole for the Tammany Hall political machine and during Prohibition, it continued operation disguised as a flower shop. The 40-foot rosewood bar, decorated back bar, tin ceiling & tile floor are all original fixtures. The walls are adorned with pictures of notable patrons and great photos of Pete’s and the local neighborhood through the years. The upstairs party room, with its beautiful hardwood floors, original brick walls and bar, is available throughout the year for gatherings of all types and sizes. Available plans can be viewed on our website. We also offer four distinct outdoor dining areas.

its been years since i've been here. i really loved how they decorated it for xmas. my meal was pretty good but not as good as the first time. i had the burger and fries. cheese was very melty...

Fun, funky place. Kind of more upscale than divey. We had drinks there but weren't able to get a seat for dinner. I've heard that their food is quite good, but we'll have to try next time.

Burger bun was too stiff for my liking. I love the Christmas decoration though! So nice! Burger to pricey. Maybe because I'm a student but I can get better burgers cheaper. Excellent service though.
