Dr. Hyunmi Choi is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a board-certified epilepsy specialist with over 25 years of experience. She provides expert care in adult epilepsy and serves as an oversight neurologist for the intraoperative neuromonitoring service at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Choi graduated Cum Laude from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. She completed both her neurology residency and fellowship in epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology at Columbia University Medical Center. She later earned a Master's in Biostatistics to support her research on patient-centered outcomes in epilepsy. Her NIH-funded research focuses on how vascular risk factors contribute to the link between late-onset epilepsy and subsequent stroke or dementia. Finally, Dr. Lee joined Columbia University Department of Neurology, Division of Neuromuscular Medicine, Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Center in 2020 where he will continue his efforts as a clinician-researcher. Dr. Lee is board certified in Neurology, Neuromuscular medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
