History

My Doula practice was established in New York City in 1998. I received my training to be a Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula from Penny Simkin at Doulas of NA International. I also became a Breastfeeding Consultant at the same time. I have attended over 1800 births in those years and have helped even more Moms breastfeed their babies successfully. I provide continuous birth support services including prenatal Craniosacral Therapy for comfort during pregnancy, Childbirth Preparation Classes, Labor Support, Lactation Support and Postpartum Newborn Care following the birth for new parents. I empower pregnant women and their partners to have the skills, knowledge and confidence to birth in their preference of labor style and become the best parents to their newborn.

Specialties

Professional birth doula, postpartum services and lactation support. I have 20 years of birth experience with very few C Sections. What makes me unique is that I am also a Craniosacral Therapist. These special skills help my clients have very calm and relaxed births with fewer interventions and a more empowering birth experience. I have used these skills to help turn breech babies and save many clients unwanted C sections. My clients love the dedicated support that I provide, my advocacy for them with the medical staff and that I am proactive about serving their needs with a warm, positive demeanor.
