Angelo's Pizza is a 4th generation pizza-making family dynasty that starts with the original Angelo, who humbly came to this country in the late 1930s. Settling in New York City, he worked a lifetime making great and authentic Italian Pizza, first at various pizza shops around the city, and then at his own store, the legendary Pizza Chef, on Brooklyn’s Fulton Street. Angelo only made pizza with coal ovens, typically running between 800°-1,000° F, producing crisp pies with a nice char within 60-90 seconds. As time passed, Angelo felt there were only a handful of pizza places left in the city like his and vowed to continue making traditional New York Style Coal-Oven Pizza. Angelo’s passion has been passed down for family generations, as his children and nephews continue his traditions of excellent pizza making at Angelo’s Pizza on Broadway.
The best coal-fired pizza in NYC!

We stopped by here before going to Gatsby and had a great time! The food was absolutely delicious - pro tip: ask for pesto sauce on the side and dip your pizza in it... Absolutely to die for!
