The Actors Fund, founded in 1882, is a nationwide human services organization that offers a variety of heath care and entertainment services. It offers a range of programs and services to individuals performing in film, theater, television, music and dance fields. It provides social services, supportive and affordable housing, emergency financial assistance, employment and training services, and health, nursing and assisted living care services. Its health care services include Internet-based and personal health insurance guidance, solutions-based health care counseling and various programs on AIDS initiative, senior and disabled citizens and mental health concerns. The Actors Fund serves more than 7,500 entertainment and performing arts professionals throughout the United States.
