History

Road Rules is owned and operated by Michael Pielech. This family business was established in 2010 and has been growing ever since. Mike has always been fixated with driving from motorcycles, cars, forklifts, reach trucks, go carts, jet skis, to boats! It was to no avail that driving was a passion, and instructing came second nature. Prior to Road Rules, Mike worked many years as an instructor for Claudio Canonaco, of Right Way Driving School. Mike has been a certified driving instructor since 2005 and is licensed through the New Jersey State Department of Education and the NJDMV as a driving instructor. Mike has been employed by the Township of Union School District since 2004 as a teacher and a coach. His credentials include full licensure from the NJ department of Education and NJ motor Vehicle Commission.

Driver education is important to laying the foundation for your teen to become a safe driver. You, as a parent, may be an exceptional driver, but not the best teacher for your child. Professional instructors provide comprehensive training that addresses the common mistakes made by new drivers. A structured classroom and behind the wheel instruction are the essential first steps in preparing new drivers. Our services include: *16 Year Old Learner's Permit Program *Adult Driving Lessons (ages 17+) *CDL Driving Lessons Additionally, we offer an online boating exam, 30 hours of classroom instruction, an online defensive driving course, international drivers training, road test services and hourly review lessons. Parental involvement in driver education is crucial. The six hours of behind the wheel instruction a new driver receives falls short of the amount of time actually needed to learn to drive on today's roads and highways. Parents must form a partnership with the driver training instructor to build upon the foundation provided in a six-hour program. *Instruction available by appointment only
