The Princeton Housing Authority provides affordable housing to qualified low-income individuals and families throughout Princeton Borough and Township. The authority owns and manages more than 200 apartments in five developments which serve families, seniors and the disabled.
Seven commissioners operate the authority, with five appointed by borough council, one by the mayor and one by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. The Princeton Housing Authority is independent from both Borough and Township municipal government. It is regulated by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and the NJ Department of Community Affairs.
