Mascott Corporation began in 1989 when Markers Harborside Grille opened in the Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City, N.J. The company also operates Markers Express, a highly stylized takeout and delivery restaurant that features a Seattle's Best Coffee kiosk, breakfast baked goods and specialty items. The company also became a franchisee of Cinnabon World Famous Cinnamon Rolls in 1989. It operates nearly 10 Cinnabon bakeries in regional shopping malls of northern and central New Jersey. Expanding upon its quick service roots, Mascott opened a Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits restaurant in the Wayne, N.J. Popeyes is one of the largest fried chicken chains in the world. It now has nearly 10 locations throughout New Jersey. During 2000, the company made the decision to expand into the upscale coffee market as a franchisee of Seattle's Best Coffee. Mascott Corporation maintains a location in Hillside, N.J.
