History
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1995 after doing independent research on how couples cope with stress. Since then, I've immersed myself in a deeper exploration of how various types of stressors, from everyday strains to major traumatic events impact not only the individual but also that person's relationship functioning with others. I have received training in various modalities, from psychoanalytic approaches, CBT, and family systems. I have also developed a specialty in the treatment of OCD including excessive worry. I take a holistic approach: I focus on development of healthy habits and strengthening relationships to help people overcome their difficulties and establish lasting therapeutic gains.
