The Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire (PFFNH) is a state association representing over 2,000 active and retired professional firefighters and paramedics across New Hampshire. Comprised of 44 local unions chartered by the International Association of Fire Fighters, PFFNH provides services and representation for its members in organized labor, the legislature, and the community.
One of the initiatives supported by PFFNH is the Last Call Foundation, founded by Kathy Crosby-Bell in memory of her son, Michael, a Boston firefighter who tragically lost his life in a nine-alarm fire in 2014. Through the Last Call Foundation, locals can now request free access to the powerful documentary film, BURNED, which uncovers the presence of toxic PFAS in firefighters' gear. PFFNH aims to protect and support its members by advocating for legislation, providing peer support, and offering resources for cancer screenings and treatment.
