Bruce W. Andrus, MD, MS

As an athletic trainer, I learned to care for patients on the field, after their surgery, during their rehabilitation and as they returned to their athletic activity. Participating in this progression motivated me to become a physician assistant in orthopaedic surgery. My background has prepared me to help patients with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, treatments and goals, including preventing arthritis, helping to heal fractures, preparing for surgery and helping someone with pain be able to enjoy a vacation or wedding. It’s gratifying to help patients return to their everyday and athletic activities. It’s very rewarding to see the difference between when a patient first comes to us, limping or in a wheelchair, and their improvement after treatment, walking normally and getting back to work and family life with less pain.

My goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate cardiovascular care to patients. I see patients in the clinic and assist in complex cardiovascular procedures. I also provide continuity of care essential to supporting our patients. The heart disease treatments available at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center are impressive. I work with a dedicated team of cardiologists to provide education and support. I look forward to working with you to improve your cardiovascular health.
