Barbara and Larry Domsky have collaborated in business and life since their first meeting in 1990. Each coming from their own diverse artistic background, they blended their talents and experience as professional artists to form Domsky Glass. Experimenting with many techniques in glass working, they are self taught in the medium of hot-glass and fusion. Together they developed innovative techniques and a diverse style in glass and metal as an art form, producing sculpture which is collected throughout the Untied States and internationally. Within the Domsky's 5, 000 square foot studio, are three fully-equipped studios; two devoted to the creation of glass works (hot-glass and glass fusion) and the other dedicated to artistic metal fabrication. "Our approach with each commission and each client is always custom tailored to their needs. We consider and respect the space, lighting, budget, environment, style and audience of each job we design and create for. Our commitment to our clients begins with the first meeting and continues throughout the design, fabrication and installation process, and as needed thereafter. It is this respect to our clients and our craft that has allowed us to pursue our passion for creating and succeed as professional artists" The Domsky's careers have included both large scale installations and gallery collections. Their fine art glass and artistic metal work is commissioned by private residence and corporations, throughout America and Internationally. Collections in Taiwan, China, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Africa, India, Australia, Mexico and through-out the United States. We believe that we all share the responsibility to participate in the well being of ones community. In practice of this belief, in 1996 we began developing art programs for children who face illness and disadvantage in the Las Vegas area. Thus far, through our hands-on approach and in coordination with a local non-profit organization, "The Candlelighter's for Childhood Cancer", we have developed and financially maintained three on-going art programs over the past twelve years: "The Art-Cart" at Sunrise Children's Hospital where we have maintained a cart filled with art supplies allowing children to create art projects during their hospital stay. "The Art-Cart" at Pediatric Oncologist Dr. Brenstien, allowing children the opportunity of art experiences while enduring their chemotherapy treatment. "The Giggle Factory"; an on-going art program where we open our studio to host art parties for children who face the challenge of illness. During these parties the children will work with us and other professional artists to create in glass, wood, paint and ceramics.
