Horizon Middle School

Horizon Middle School, also known as HMS, is a learning facility that provides a range of educational opportunities for students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes history, math, English, science and physical education. The school also operates a student council and organizes various athletic activities, such as basketball, football, volleyball and wrestling. Horizon Middle School s extracurricular activities include choir, orchestra and band. In addition, it maintains a library and media center and Spanish, chess and communication clubs. The school conducts Science Olympiad. Horizon Middle School operates a parent-teacher organization. It also offers guidance counseling and transportation services. The school is a part of Kearney Public Schools.
