The Greater Omaha Economic Development Council represents an eight-county metro area and offers a full range of consultative services, such as current data on available sites and buildings, manpower availability, wage rates and productivity levels, and energy rates and availability. It also provides training programs and guidance on use and application of development incentives including major tax credits, refunds and exemptions for new and expanding businesses. The council s economic development partners include the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Sarpy County Economic Development, Gateway Economic Development, Omaha Public Power District, Aquila and the Metropolitan Utilities District. The Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership is the funding program for economic development activities and initiatives at the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
